Play IdleWild’s 18-hole Championship Golf Course, located only minutes from State Highways 42/57 near Sturgeon Bay in Door County, Wisconsin. The views are wonderful, whether you’re looking down our fairways or over the surrounding treetops toward the magnificent escarpment rising into nearby Potawatomi State Park. The golf course is beautifully manicured and maintained, and the greens and bunkers are exceptional. Enjoy the dazzling array of natural flora and fauna as you work your way around our lake-studded design highlighted by our finishing-hole island green. July Golf Events
2nd Annual Joint Professional Law Enforcement Assoc. Golf Scramble benefits the Chop and Shop with a Cop program that pairs local youth with law enforcement officers for a day. Officers assist the children in getting a Christmas tree and with shopping for Christmas presents for their families. The children also eat lunch with the officers and spend time wrapping presents together. This Golf Scramble will be held Saturday July 11th with a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m. Entry fee is $240.00/ team or 60.00/ a person, which includes 18 holes of golf, cart, prizes, and lunch to follow. “The Joint Profess. Law Enforcement Assoc. is a non-profit organization and therefore donors may deduct contributions to the extent that their contributions are gifts with no consideration received.” For more information please contact the Pro Shop.
The Couples Outing will be held Sunday July 19th. This two-person scramble format with prizes for low gross & low net is a great time. It is only $30.00 / Couple for Idlewild members and $40.00 / Couple for non-members. Entry includes golf, cart, prizes, and a broasted chicken dinner to follow after play. 2009 PGA McGladrey Team Championship will be Saturday July 25th. This is a 3 Person Net Best Ball Tournament with 75% of each players WSGA handicap. Entry Fee is $165.00 per team, which includes green fees, range balls, and a gift from the PGA. Winning team advances to PGA Section Championship and will be joined by PGA Professional Randy Meyer. $37,000 Purse at Section Event. Tee times are available from 1:00 – 2:15 p.m. Call the pro shop to sign up and book a tee time. You can also register your team on line at PGA.com/teamchampionship
